Why am I running?

Why now?

After many years serving on the City Council, I’ve had the opportunity to learn our community inside and out—what works, what doesn’t, and where we need to go next. That experience matters, but experience alone isn’t enough. Timing matters too.

Right now, our city is at a turning point. We’re facing important decisions about growth, infrastructure, technology, and how we communicate with and serve our residents. These aren’t small issues—they will shape Washington for the next 10–20 years.

I’m running for Mayor now because I believe I’m uniquely prepared to lead us through this moment. I bring not only my years on the council, but also my experience as an IT Director, which gives me a forward-thinking, problem-solving approach to how city government should operate—more efficient, more transparent, and more connected to the people.

I’ve spent years listening, learning, and working alongside our community. Now I’m ready to take that next step—to lead, to bring people together, and to make sure we grow the right way while staying true to our roots.

Simply put: the opportunity to make a bigger impact is here, and I’m ready to serve.
